Jaccoud’s arthropathy in SLE



Discussion


Disease definition
deforming but non erosive arthropathy that can affect patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Findings
1. Periarticular osteopenia
2. symmetric involvement of the interphalangeal joint of multiple digit of hand
3. Joint space narrowing and osseous erosion are not prominent
4. Multiple reducible subluxation of MCP, DIP, and IP joint of hand
5. In feet, the deformities include contractures, the lateral deviation of MTP joints, hallux valgus, hammer toes
