Discussion

Findings

1.Contrast enhanced CT images shows poorly defined soft-tissue masses in the infrascapular region, with attenuation similar to adjacent muscle. Masses are noted bilaterally, with a larger mass in the left infrascapular region.

2.MR images demonstrate a spindle-shaped mass in the infrascapular region, deep to the serratus anterior and latissimus dorsi muscles. The mass contains striated  T1 hyperintensity signal, consistent with bands of fat. Alternating bands of intermediate to low T1 and T2 signal are also present, representing intermixed fibrous tissue.
