Chief complaint : 좌측 엄지발가락통증이 1년전부터 생김. 1년전에 엄지발가락이 아프고 커짐

Bizarre Parosteal Osteochondromatous Proliferation (BPOP, Nora lesion)



Discussion


Findings


  1. a well-marginated mass of heterotopic ossification arises from the cortical surface of the phalangeal bone.

  2. no medullary continuity is found between the lesion and the adjacent bone.

  3. the sessile or pedunculated mass usually lies adjacent to the metaphyseal segment of the bone.



Differential diagnosis


  1. Osteochondroma (exostosis)
