Age / Sex : 47 / F Chief complaint : Knee pain, Rt Diagnosis: Synovial hemangioma DiscussionFindings 1.X-ray: obliteration of Hoffa’s fat pad 2.MR : T1 isointense intra-articular bubbly appeared soft tissue mass at Hoffa’s fat pad and showed marked enhancement Discussions Synovial hemangiomas are uncommon, localized, benign tumoral lesions of vascular origin, which can sometimes spread to other joints and muscular areas. Synovial hemangiomas appear as intermediate signal intensity on T1-weighted images, isointense or slightly hyperintense than surrounding muscles. The lesion appears hyperintense on T2-weighted and fat-supressed images. Thin, serpentine and low-intensity septa are also detected on T2-weighted and fat-supressed images.
