Discussion
Findings: - On T2WI and PDWI, intermediate signal intensity soft tissue mass lesion at the anterior aspect of the anterior cruciate ligament. It looks like a cyclops lesion, however there is no history of previous surgery.
Differential Diagnosis: Nodular synovitis / intraarticular loose body / partial tear of ACL
Diagnosis: PVNS
Discussion: - Endoscopy : Yellowish synovium-lined soft tissue mass at anterior aspect of ACL, attached to the surface of infrapatellar fat pad - Pathology : Massive infarcted polypoid tissue covered with synovial cells and composed of medium-sized polyhedral cells, foamy cells, and a few giant cells containing fat and hemosiderin, with focal hyalinization, consistent with pigmented villonodular synovitis.
