Courtesy : In Sup Song, MD, Chung-Ang University Hospital Diagnosis: ossifying fibroma (osteofibrous dysplasia)
Discussion
Findings: 1) Radiologic Findings: - Type IA osteolytic lesion in left midtibia - The lesion is located eccentrically - Ground glass matrix ossification is seen - Pathologic fracture is seen
Differential Diagnosis: Ossifying fibroma, Fibrous dysplasia, Adamantinoma
Diagnosis: Ossifying fibroma (osteofibrous dysplasia)
Discussion: This patient age could rule out the possibility of adamantinoma. Fibrous dysplasia is centrally located while the adamantinoma is eccentrically located. Fibrous dysplasia rarely involve the tibia.
