Discussion


Findings:


 Low SI band-like structure anterior to the ACL is noted on sagittal FS PD FSE.


 


Differential Diagnosis: The infrapatellar plica should not be mistaken for the ACL


 


Diagnosis: infrapatellar plica


 


Discussion:


 Infrapatelllar plica has been classified as having a vertical septum as a separate structure from the ACL, split or bipartite, or fenestrated.


  The infrapatellar plica or ligamentum mucosum extends from the anterior intercondylar notch through Hoffa’s fat pad to attach to the inferior pole of the patella

    이 구조물은
    Anterior meniscofemoral ligament of the medial meniscus 입니다.
    AMFL은 medial menscus의 anterior horn에서 mid-intercondylar notch로 extend 하는 dense collagenous tissue 입니다.
    Infrapatellar plica (ligament mucosum)은 inferior patella에서 intercondylar notch로 fat pad를 통해 extend 하는 loose synovial tissue 입니다.
