Diagnosis:

chondroblastic osteosarcoma



Discussion


Findings: 


cloud-like tumor matrix formation in left ilium on plain radiograph


extraosseous cartilaginous mass formation


Fibrous strands traversing extraosseous cartilaginous mass


Surburst periosteal reaction.


 


Differential Diagnosis: chondrosarcoma


 


Diagnosis: chondroblastic osteosarcoma


 


Discussion:
 Cartilage is a component of cartilage matrix tumor(enchondroma, chondroblastoma, chondromyxoid fibroma and chondrosarcoma), however many tumors can show cartilage component within the tumor, such as chondroblastic osteosarcoma, fibrocartilagenous dysplasia, bizarre parosteal osteochondromatous proliferation.
