Diagnosis:

Disease definition: Tuberculous arthritis (pathology proven)



Discussion


Findings
Long-standing symptom, preserved joint space and lack of periarticular osteopenia (plain radiograph) suggesting indolent course of the disease
Joint effusion extending to extraarticular space with penumbra sign (MRI, T1WI) suggesting abscess
Bone marrow signal change (MRI) suggesting OM
A single joint involvement is not common in noninfectious inflammatory arthritis.
